We are getting ready for a couple of hot upcoming weeks here in the Valley with temps set to reach into the 100s. Make your Independence Day plans (see below for a list of activities in Napa and Sonoma over the holiday) and include a pool if possible! And definitely be sure to take your walks early and enjoy a later evening al fresco dinner. We love those warm nights.

These past few weeks have been quite a whirlwind! We had an incredible weekend at Ojai Valley Inn over Memorial Day weekend - what a gorgeous property. Then this past weekend we attended the Napa Valley Auction - the barrel auction at Hall Winery, followed by an epic dinner at Kenzo Estate on Friday night, and the big event on Saturday evening at Far Niente Winery in Oakville.

May is one of our favorite months here in the Napa Valley. The weather is absolute perfection with cool mornings and evenings and a few gloriously warm hours peppered in during the middle of the day. Long lunches with friends, even longer walks, not-too-hot-yet soccer games, and the beginning of our local bocce season are all upon us... and we could not be happier.

The weather has turned and we are experiencing the most glorious spring! Due to all the recent precipitation, everything is absolutely gorgeous with vibrant green, yellow, pink and orange hues at every corner of our beautiful valley. With spring break in full swing, we are excited for relaxing days enjoying long walks, good food, crisp glasses of wine on the patio, and hopefully some time with friends and family.

Spring is trying to peek its way into the forecast, tempting us with some gorgeous sunny days these past few weeks. But Mother Nature has made it clear that the rainy season is not over yet! We just experienced another significant rain storm over the past several days, which we absolutely loved, and know that this much needed precipitation will only make our valley more beautiful as we move into the sunnier weather. In fact, building on last winter's big rains, Lake Berryessa is now over 95% full and within about three feet of its maximum height!

What a gorgeous time this past month has been here in the Napa Valley! We have been getting quite a bit of rain, and as seen in the photo above, many of the vineyards are currently flooded (luckily no harm to the vineyards). But it won't last long...we have sun in the forecast early next week! For now, we are snuggling up and watching the rain fall. Everything is absolutely lush and green and beautiful. We have really needed this precipitation and welcome it!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and break! We had family and friends in town and it was magical. We stayed home & made a huge Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed every moment. Every year, I try to take some time to reflect on what's most important and there is one thing that I always find myself feeling the most grateful for - the people in my life. My friends and family are what make my life as wonderful as it is.

Welcome to November in the Napa Valley and our absolute favorite month to live here in this gorgeous place. The weather is sheer perfection with cool, crisp evenings and foggy mornings (the best type of morning in our opinion), with the fog quickly burning off and the sun warming everything to somewhere in the mid to high 70s by mid-day. Basically a dream world where the leaves are still on the vines and trees, and quickly turning gorgeous, vibrant hues of orange, red, purple and yellow. It's truly magical.

It's been the same story every single year since we moved to this beautiful valley in 2007... autumn rolls around, the leaves start to change color from green to vibrant hues of orange, yellow and crimson, the air begins to crisp, the vines bow with the added weight of plump purple grapes, and we always wonder how we ever got so lucky to call this magical valley our home.

We don't know about you, but we are so ready for Fall! The weather is already starting to cool down (this weekend is going to be in the high 70s) and we are hearing whispers about the start of this year's harvest all over town.

June in Napa Valley is always one of our favorite months, mostly due to the weather warming up and the glory of everything after the winter rains. That being said, this June in particular has been absolute perfection. With the record amount of rain we received this past winter, everything is in full, vibrant, explosive bloom. The mornings have been foggy and even a little chilly, which has made for the most perfect walking weather. We absolutely love waking up to the foggy chill... somehow coffee just tastes a little better when there's a slight bite in the air.

Summer is here and the weather in Napa Valley has never been more glorious. This past Memorial Day weekend, BottleRock was upon us here in the Valley and everything was buzzing with excitement. The weather was absolute perfection - festival goers enjoyed stunning 65-75 degree days and cooler mornings and evenings. Hopefully you made it here to partake in some of the long weekend fun, but if not, there is already buzz around the Valley about BottleRock 2024 so stay tuned!

The sun is shining and the temperatures here in Napa Valley have finally warmed up! We have been absolutely loving the cool nights and mornings and warm sunny days and have been spending as much time as possible outside enjoying the lush landscape that is thriving after all the rain we received. The colors are popping, the vines are starting to bud, and we even heard that our local doe has a few new fawns trailing behind her, which we are eager to see for ourselves and are constantly on the lookout for.

After another incredibly rainy month, we are thrilled to see nothing but sunny days in the forecast! If you've been thinking about visiting the Napa Valley, this is the perfect time. The sun is going to be out and everything is going to be absolutely gorgeous after all the precipitation we've received. We are already seeing the vibrant greens, yellows and oranges popping up everywhere and are anticipating one of the most spectacular Springs we've ever seen. We will make sure to post lots of photos but if you are able, get yourself here to see it for yourself!

The weather here in Napa Valley has really taken us on a bit of a wild ride these past few weeks. We've had sun, we've had rain, we've had clouds and hail and even snow! We are absolutely loving all this precipitation in all its forms and know that the mustard and flowers this Spring are going to be absolutely incredible.

We are excited to announce that we officially opened the doors to the Vanguard Napa Valley office here in St. Helena this past month! Thank you to everyone who came to the opening party to support us. We had over 175 people stop by to see the space and share a glass of wine. It was so wonderful to see so many of you - thank you all for your continued support. I know we missed some of you - please do stop by anytime, I would love to see you and show you around!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break this past week! We visited Erin's family in Colorado which was really special. We hope you were also able to be with family, friends and those whom you are closest to - sharing stories, laughter, delicious food, and most importantly, time. We are gearing up for a fun night with the kids here in St. Helena. Our little town has some great streets for trick-or-treating and usually a few haunted houses to keep things exciting. Allyn Avenue is our go-to street these days now that the kids are a little older, but Signorelli Circle is known for being the best spot for the younger crowd.
